Chef April used to be Nurse April but she decided to don a chef’s apron and marry her career in nursing with her passion of all things gastronomic. The unifying theme throughout April’s cooking is healthy living, which joyously celebrates organic, local produce and the finest farm fresh ingredients.

Once her path was determined, Chef April dived headfirst into her training at the Cook Street School in Denver, Co. Like a freshly caught wild salmon to a pan of steaming water, she mastered everything from wine to pastries. So if you’re looking for a sommelier AND the best cook in Nevada, then April can wine match your entire menu.

April’s cuisine is influenced by her travels through Italy and the way Italians savor meal times. Championing the cause for people to eat healthy food that’s grown locally, April dreams of a big veggie garden on a large block of land that produces a bounty of produce for her and for her many guests. She’ll have house decoration projects on the go, punctuated by regular farm-to-table dinner parties filled with fascinating people.

In the meantime she lives in Reno, Nevada with her partner, Jordan and her three ragdoll cats, cooking for her willing foodie friends whenever she can.
